Business Controller, Offshore and Special Purpose unit within Handling

We are looking for an engaged Business Controller to join our management team in the Deck Handling Equipment unit for the Offshore and Special Purpose market. Offshore and Special purpose is delivering large and complex projects through areas such as but not limited to Research and AHT vessels for various operations, and products within launch and recovery systems, crane/booms and Position Morring systems. In this role you will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, forecasting and project controlling in the unit.

The position is in our Propulsion and Handling division which owns, develops and delivers world class handling solutions, with focus on system solutions and integration driving increased efficiency in our customers' operations. The division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritime’s winches and handling solutions. Main sites in the division are in Møre and Romsdal, Finland, Sweden and UK.

Key accountabilities

• Overall project controlling, financial reporting, forecasting and analysis
• Close follow-up of main delivery projects to ensure predictable gross margin development
• Follow up product profitability and contribute to product pricing and cost estimation
• Risk and cost estimation of delivery projects / tenders
• Build and follow up business cases
• Be a part of the subdivision management team, and collaborate cross functionally to ensure alignment and achieving project and business targets
• Manage and support an existing finance team of 2 controllers
• Other operational and ad-hoc financial support

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor’s / master’s degree in finance or economics
• Min. 5-8 years of relevant experience within finance and preferably from a project organization
• Forward looking focus, including forecasting and analytical work
• Business strategic mindset
• Management experience is an advantage
