Kongsberg Maritime has ambitions to grow considerably within the Naval domain. Kongsberg Maritime has for many years successfully sold and delivered products such as propulsion systems and stabilizers to Navies and Coast Guards around the world. Our Naval business is expected to grow further by providing more products, solutions and services to the Naval market. The main growth is expected to be achieved by adding automation & control, energy and digital services such as maritime simulators. 

As part of this growth, we are looking for a Finance Manager. The role will be part of the newly established Naval Systems business unit in our Propulsion and Handling division. The new unit will initially focus on near term possibilities related to Naval contracts in Norway, such as the standardized vessels planned procured by the Norwegian Armed Forces. You will have a key role in transforming Kongsberg Maritime into a leading provider of commercial products to Naval vessels.

What you will be doing

• Establish necessary processes and routines to be compliant with Cost Accounting Standard- and FAR/DFARS.
• Main contact point towards Seksjon Kontraktsrevisjon (KRK) in Forsvarsmateriell (FMA) in the Norwegian Defense and similar institutions in other countries. 
• Build the necessary competence within Finance in Kongsberg Maritime and be the center of excellence related to defense contracting.
• Support the BU and P&H division with financial input and analysis.
• Participate in risk and cost buildup of delivery projects and delivery structures.
• Be a part of the Business Unit management team.
  
  

We think you should have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within finance.
• Experience from public procurement in Norway is preferred
• An understanding of KONGSBERG’s Defense and/or Maritime business is preferred.
• Understanding of the defense business.
• Self-driven and take responsibility.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
