You will be part of a regional EMEA delivery team of technical experts within Digital Ocean, focusing on the maritime industry’s digital transformation.

As a Junior Technical Advisor at Kongsberg Maritime, you will be an integral part of the Vessel Insight Delivery team, supporting the successful adoption of our services and ensuring a positive customer experience.
You will play a key role in the setup and deployment of Vessel Insight features and applications, while providing valuable technical expertise throughout the entire delivery process. 

Accountability/Work tasks:

• Facilitate onboarding of new customer installations onto the Vessel Insight cloud platform
• Support project management efforts by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring projects stay on schedule
• Collaborate with the global technical team to map signals, configure features, and set up applications
• Verify signal availability onboard vessels and confirm compatibility with Vessel Insight services
• Partner closely with product and development teams to resolve challenges and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure clear communication and coordination among internal teams and external stakeholders
• Document technical processes, installation details, and issue resolutions to support knowledge sharing
• Assist in commissioning/troubleshooting and provide first-level technical support when needed
• Work alongside Customer Success Managers to ensure seamless handovers of applications and features
• Support the Growth Department in pre-engineering activities to help deliver solutions to customers

Skills and Requirements:

• Higher education within a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of Maritime Automation Systems, Navigation Systems, Power Management Systems, Monitoring Instruments, and Vessel Performance Systems
• Previous experience working with shipping operations or domain knowledge of the maritime industry
• Familiarity with technical operations onboard vessels and understanding of maritime assets
• A strong interest in digitalization and its application within the maritime sector
• Project management knowledge, preferably with PMP certification, is a plus but not mandatory
• Basic knowledge of computer networking is a plus, but not mandatory
• English language skills, both in speech and in writing
