We are looking for a collaborative, curious and reliable Mechanical Engineer to join our Deck Machinery team. Our team develops, delivers and maintains complex winch and handling systems for a broad range of vessels within the offshore market.

The position is part of our Handling business area, which owns, develops and delivers world-class handling solutions. We focus on system solutions and integration that drive increased efficiency in our customers' operations. The division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritime’s winches and handling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to developing new products, systems and concepts
• Execute customer delivery projects
• Design and verify winches and other handling equipment
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing, purchasing, and quality teams
• Support our sales organization with technical solutions and customer offers
• Contribute to our team – both socially and professionally

Qualifications and experience

• Technical- or university degree within mechanical engineering or similar
• Experience with 3D mechanical design (we use NX/Teamcenter)
• Knowledge of hydraulics and/or structural analysis is an advantage
• Practical experience from maritime or offshore operations is an advantage
