If you have a passion for System Architecture and find interest in bridging the gap between product organizations, system level decompositions and disciplines – this role is for you. Join our Dynamic Positioning (DP) team as a System Architect, with a special focus on DP in Remote & [BV1] Autonomous (R&A) systems. As part of our team, you will play a key role in defining our future solutions in Kongsberg Maritime.

You will be part of the division Automation, Energy & Integrated Systems which is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritime's Automation, Bridge Systems, Electro products, and solutions. Since the development of the first Dynamic Positioning system in the 1970's, Kongsberg Maritime has been in the forefront of maritime technology, and you will contribute to maintaining and further developing that legacy.

 

Key accountabilities

• Define and develop the architecture for DP and its integration with R&A, together with other architects.
• Ensure products meet both stakeholder needs and Kongsberg Maritime’s technology strategy.
• Address real customer challenges through product alignment.  
• Collaborate closely with architects, developers, testers, product owners and managers
• Share and use knowledge effectively across global teams
• Contribute to development of the Systems Engineering discipline
• Be a mentor for junior engineers

 

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
• Experience and/or education in Systems Engineering
• Experience from different technological domains is a plus, especially if you have practiced concept development, system integration and/or Systems Engineering
• Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering (e.g., SysML, UML, UAF).

 This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
